Halloween Time Express Meet Up
This wonderful event became one of the most talked about events in the park, by both guests and cast members alike. This was an amazingly innovative and ground breaking event where we took the entertainment to the guests, utilizing never-before-seen elements that made the evening outstanding.
The special blogger invitees boarded the Disneyland train at Main Street, and encountered a different "show" at each platform. At New Orleans Square, a "Ghost Host" from the Haunted Mansion boarded the train with them, and escorted the guests to each location. Along the way, they encountered the Haunted Hillbillies, Jack and Sallie, and Darth Vader, when he commandeered the train looking for new recruits for the Dark Side. Thankfully, Jedi Knights rushed into the rescue, and after an impressive and exciting battle, the train was released to make it's way back to the Main Street Station, where guests were greeted by Villains and Ghosts alike.
This was the first time the Disneyland Train was ever used in an event like this, which made the logistics daunting to say the least. However, it due to the dedication of the DLR crew, the evening went off flawlessly, and was a huge success.
