Center Stage at the D23 Expo 2015
What an honor to be name the Executive Director for Center Stage at the D23 Expo 2015. I was Creative Director for the overall stage, as well as Director / Writer for almost half of the segments.
We had 63 segments in just 3 days, that included a blend of live performances, animation demonstrations, Jedi Training Academy, Disney Jr. Storytime, show announcements, product reveals and game shows! All had interactive & multimedia elements, and intricate show lighting.
I worked with multiple business units across Disney, including Radio Disney, The Walt Disney Studios, Interactive, Animation, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disneyland. And somehow, it all worked! Our stage was not only the busiest in the Expo, but also one of the most visited.
The best part was working with my extraordinary team, and such amazing Disney Legends as Andreas Deja, Eric Goldberg, Brad Kane, Don Hahn and Mark Henn, as well as such performers as Olivia Holt, Sabrina Carpenter, Bea Miller, and Descendents stars, Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson.
I'm happy to say I've been asked to return for D23 Expo 2017 - stay tuned!
